France
Hi to all

Well we are into our third week on the road.  The coach travel has been great.  We believe it is the best way to see a loty in a short amount of time.  A little tiring, however one can catnap on the coach when on t\he highway.  Day before yeasterday we were at FDlorence.  More churches and sculptures.  Saw where Michel Angelo was buried.  We didn't go to see the original David. and so plesed we didn't as the group that went weer bored very quickly... and very expensive to see.   We did see a copy and it was in the place where the original was.   Went to leather shop and we both bought a pair of gloves... just in case it gets cold in England and the USA.
Ther weahter that we have had have ben great.  Only one day of rain,  a coulple of colder days and the rest has been absolutely beautiful.  We have missed the horrible heat that they have been talking about.

Yesterday we travelled through beau\tiful areas of Tuscany Italy, on our way to Nice.  Saw marble mountains,  went to Pisa - leaning tower - still lkeaning.  Set in a lovely green garden with baptisry and church.  Is not going to ;lean any further (hopefully).   The only thing that spoouilt Pisa was the number of tourist/souvemnir sellers from all overtne world - dodgy.

On to along the Mediterreanean Coast through Genova and onto a perfumery -- and hillside village of Eze - very quaint.   Had a visit to Monaco  Very quickly lost 5 Euro in to slots at the casino.  Saw parade of cruising mercedes, lamborgines, ferraias, jaguars etc  very rich.  Harbour full of massive cruising yatchs some with own helicopters and speed boats.   Bazza you would kill for this.   Lots of women walking around dressed in Gucchi with rats on a string.    We just sat in the gardens with a gelati and watched the world go by.

Are haveing a great time with people we have met on the coach.

Thjis morning in Nice  -  first morning we've been ableto sleep in.  Hotel in middle of everything and this morning went to flower and fresh food markets and bought greta cheeses, olives and fruit.   Took some great photos of beaches etc fromn the view from the steep stair climb which overlooks Nice.  Afetr finished here we are going for a swim in the Mediterrean - will need to wear thongs as the beach will hurt our tootsies. (pebble and sharp shells.  no sand)  Lots of topless women ?   This is thechgeapest internet thus far.  so have a little more time to write notes   Usually we go crazy as the keys and language are so foreign and it tkaes us 20 minutes even to get onto it.  This evening we go for tour along the corniches which overlook to Mediterrearn and also get to eat in this lovely location overlooking the ocean (more copoius amounts of wine).

Our Health has been ok except I've (Meredith) have succumbed alittle to a fluey feeling today.. I wondered how long it would take.

Hope all is ok at home and at work.   Do not even think about it very often. -(work that is but we are often thinking of our girls and friends)

Next up date will probably be from Paris.. in a few days time as the first leg of our jouney comes to an end.

All our love

B and M   Travellers

Hi party animals

Lys rang and gave me the website tonight so have been having a sticky beak at your adventures. I AM VERY JEALOUS. Sounds like you are having a great time (with and without the influence of alcohol!)

Looking forward to reading about the rest of the trip.

Take care

Elysse and Kerry

The markets would have been wonderful. Is France a dirty place? Thats what I have heard.
Hunter is lonely again now that Jess had been taken home. He is getting lost of cuddles though.
Jen and I are mostly getting along. She has even started helping with the watering which helps me heaps. The grass isn't dead yet Dad. I just wish she would wash up her dishes more often and not leave the washing water in the sink to get cold and icky. But at least we are both still alive.
I only really started missing you this morning. Its kinda because I cannot call you whenever. Oh wells, kickboxing tonight. Now with 6 subway people.
Lots of love, Lys

Hi Lys,
Paris is quite clean and nice and Frane on the whole is good. Italy and in particular Naples is dirty. Keep telling Hunter about our adventures. Enjoy the kickboxing and we will keep trying to ring you both at home if we can get through. It may also be the network here being dodgy. Try to get on the net in England. Good to hear things are ticking along fine.

Love us.

We have enjoyed reading your journal so far - sounds like you are having a great time seeing lots of very significant and historic places. We are only a little bit green. Look forward to seeing lots of photos later. Not too much happening here, weather is great, work is the same old same old etc but Mark is on sick leave with a pinched nerve in neck at C6 so looks forward to reading your updates. Stay safe,
Mark & Paula.

On acting Sergeants pay - Tony would be horrified. Hope gets better soon and that you dont make him do too much around the house and pamper him a bit.
